In the spring of 2014, Bethany and Lee uprooted their suburban family and moved back to the family farm on which Bethany had been raised.  They moved onto their own homestead the following year where they care for their own flock of laying hens and help with family cattle herd.

Lee is an artist whose work has been published by American Greetings, Image Comics and the Kansas City Star.  He has wanted a pet dinosaur as long as he can remember, and now he has a whole flock.

Bethany is a full-time educator focusing on her three children as well as the KC Learn homeschooling co-op. She is also an internet renowned seamstress featured by AOL, Boing Boing, MTV, Buzzfeed, and Make Magazine.  She knew she was home when she put her china shepherdess up on the shelf.
